Announcement from the Board of Trustees:
Dear St. Anne’s School Community,
After twenty years of exceptional service including six years as head of school, Lisa Nagel has informed the Board of Trustees that this 2019-2020 academic year will be her final year at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis. While we would like nothing more than for Lisa to stay and lead the school for years to come, we accept her decision with the utmost respect and appreciation for all that she has accomplished for our community. The Board of Trustees is deeply grateful to Lisa for leading our school with exceptional wisdom, passion, thoughtfulness, and commitment. To say that she will be missed is an understatement but we take comfort in knowing she has built a mission, curriculum and culture that provides a foundation for all future St. Anne’s School leaders. The national search for our new head of school will commence immediately. Care will be taken to ensure the search process allows for input from all constituencies and that the community is regularly kept abreast of the process. During the process, Lisa will continue to prudently and thoughtfully lead the school and will play a vital role in the leadership transition. In the coming months, we will announce opportunities to celebrate Lisa’s contributions and accomplishments. In the meantime, please join me in thanking Lisa for her many years of dedicated service to St. Anne's School and our community. Embracing her legacy, we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to identify a new leader who can continue to build on the many successes of St. Anne’s School of Annapolis.
