The Equity in Education Scholarship, which was founded in 2020 by St. Anne’s School Parents Nate and Besse Rose, aims to give local, underrepresented students an opportunity to attend St. Anne’s School, a school that firmly believes that diversity (in thought, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, and socio-economic status) is the foundation upon which education more powerfully and effectively flourishes.
The Equity in Education Scholarship creates benefits beyond our school building and campus, ultimately impacting the greater Annapolis area as our EES scholars go out into the world as leaders and changemakers.
St. Anne’s School actively recruits for EES scholars by partnering with other organizations and school systems to identify mission-aligned students and families. Once a prospective recipient has been identified, the student and their family go through the School’s standard admissions process before meeting with the Head of School to finalize the partnership.
Proudly, St. Anne’s School is one of the only schools who provides this type of fully supportive scholarship, and it's provided during one of the most formative periods of a child’s development—their Sixth-Eighth Grade years—thereby setting the foundation for success as they look to high school, college, and beyond.
